The night was started with a short set from Dangerous Breed. They put in a good performance in front of the small crowd, but they did seem lacking in imagination – between myself and a couple of friends, for each song they did we identified an Iron Maiden song with the same guitar riffs and often quite very large similarities.<\/p>\n
Scottish biker rock band Attica Rage were next up. Their usual bass player was absent, apparently due to work commitments, but the stand in did a decent job. Attica Rage despite only playing a few times in London had a good level of support in the venue with quite a few people sporting Attica Rage T-shirts and during their set it was clear a lot of the fans there knew the songs well. Attica Rage put in a great performance with a set made up entirely of songs from their current album, ”Road dog”.<\/p>\n
Next up were tonight’s headliners Die So Fluid. The crowd was still disappointing – the venue was only around half full, but there were various other gigs on around London that may have harmed ticket sales. Lead singer and bas splayer, Grog shocked the crowd with her new look when she first came on stage – gone is the black hair and its now blonde. Personally I preferred the black more goth look, but she still looked great as a blonde.
\nAs you’d expect, Die so fluid were on top form (as always), and really entertained the crowd. OK so it was a week late, but we got ”Happy Halloween” in the setlist as well as favourites including ”Gang of one”, and ”Not everyone gets a happy ending”.
