They may sound like something from a dark fairytale, but the Von Hertzen Brothers are Finland\u2019s No. 1 rock band \u2013 three siblings (vocalist\/guitarist Mikko, guitarist\/vocalist Kie & bassist\/vocalist Jonne) with a formidable live reputation plus the ability to produce challenging music that never smacks of being specialist or niche.<\/p>\n
And now, with latest studio album (\u2018Stars Aligned\u2019) charting No. 1 in Finland, and staying there for three weeks, going Gold in the process, the time is right for these Grammy-winners to set their sights farther afield; they have visited the UK on three occasions (two headline shows, plus one festival appearance), and now there\u2019s this brand new \u2018Best Of\u2019 release in June, to showcase their high-flyin\u2019 combination of psychedelia and emotive rock, allowing recent converts to catch up with the story\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2018The Best Of\u2019 features tracks from all of VHB\u2019s four studio albums (\u2018Experience\u2019, \u2018Approach\u2019, \u2018Love Remains The Same\u2019 plus the aforementioned \u2018Stars Aligned\u2019), and is carefully compiled 14-track chapter-closer. The album features brand new material (\u2018Rubicon\u2019), an adventurous cover version (\u201821st Century Schizoid Man\u2019 by King Crimson), plus classic singles and album tracks focussing heavily on the last three studio releases, all now available via Spinefarm.
