MARTYR DEFILED have announced a run of UK shows to follow the release of their new EP ’In Shadows’ (3rd September) and have promised fans each show will be \u00a32 entry with advance purchase tickets.
\n”After nearly 5 years of touring around the UK and Europe we have played amazing shows to amazing people, made amazing friends and had an amazing time. But there has always been something hanging over us, every time we see a tour announced or turn up to a venue – ticket prices are so high these days. We did a tour in 2011, and every single show was 8 pounds or more for a ticket, and so ridiculously priced on the door that it shocked us. We couldn’t believe that ticket prices have gotten so high – there’s loads of reasons for this, but when people are messaging us and saying that they’d love to see us but they just couldn’t afford it – we had to do something!
\nSo we’re going on the most budget tour we’ve done to date, borrowing a van off our mates and hitting the road for the absolute bare minimum guarantee each night so we can make sure that anyone that wants to see us can do. For less than a pint, you can come see us tear up the stages in our favourite venues across the country – and have a fucking good time!”<\/p>\n
