JETTBLACK\u2019S WILL STAPLETON JOINS ALL-STAR CAST<\/p>\n

IN THE ROLE OF THE VOICE OF HUMANITY<\/p>\n

Will Stapleton, front man of the fast-rising British rock band Jettblack will join the cast of Jeff Wayne\u2019s Musical Version of \u2018The War of The Worlds – Alive on Stage!\u2019 for The New Generation tour.<\/p>\n

Fresh off the back of a headline tour with Jettblack, Will is looking forward to hitting the stage alongside a new and exciting cast performing the role of The Voice of Humanity.<\/p>\n

Will says, \u201cIt\u2019s an honour to even be considered for a role like this let alone getting the part. I can\u2019t wait to put my own stamp on the role of The Voice of Humanity whose track \u2018Thunder Child\u2019 is the climatic song that ends Act 1. I\u2019m raring to get on stage\u201d<\/p>\n

Will joins an all-star cast including Marti Pellow as The Sung Thoughts of The Journalist, Jason Donovan playing Parson Nathaniel, and Kerry Ellis as his wife, Beth. Also confirmed is Kaiser Chiefs\u2019 Ricky Wilson in the role of The Artilleryman. <\/p>\n

Internationally acclaimed actor Liam Neeson completes the cast and will be seen in the new production in 3D holography portraying the role of George Herbert, The Journalist, taking over from Richard Burton\u2019s iconic narration on the original album, and previous tours. The groundbreaking, full body, live action 3D hologram is an extraordinary performance from Liam, who interacts with the live performers, including passing objects between hologram and reality!<\/p>\n

Jeff Wayne says,\u201cOver the years, I\u2019ve been privileged to have had the participation of some truly great artists. For me, the real bonus is that I\u2019ve always been a true fan of those who have come on board; to me it\u2019s not been \u2018work\u2019, just great fun.<\/p>\n

As our Journalist I\u2019m thrilled to have attracted Liam Neeson to my New Generation productions. He has, so-to-speak, been handed the \u2018baton\u2019 from Richard Burton, and I believe audiences and listeners alike will find Liam\u2019s interpretation no less compelling.<\/p>\n

For this next arena tour with Ricky Wilson, Jason Donovan, Kerry Ellis, Marti Pellow and Will Stapleton, they each have a magic that draws audiences to them and I welcome them all to \u2018The War of The Worlds\u2019. <\/p>\n
