On tour with Kreator and Evile in April!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British thrashers Xentrix return to action with a handful of live dates as special guests  for Kreator and Evile in April as well as the promise of new material!<\/p>\n<p>The band have had numerous offers to reform over the years but original singer Chris Astley always declined and as guitarist Kristian Harvard states \u2018without him it wasn&#8217;t really Xentrix\u2019. Astley has since had a change of heart and the promise of recording new material has prompted him to return to the fold and bring back one of the UK\u2019s best loved thrash bands.<\/p>\n<p>Originally thrust into the public eye in the late \u201880\u2019s after their demo received a five K review in Kerrang which in turn caught the attention Roadrunner records, Xentrix soon found themselves in the studio making \u2018Shattered Existence\u2019.<\/p>\n<p> Of course their now infamous cover of \u2018Ghostbusters\u2019 remains a firm favourite with fans old and new as does the band\u2019s phenomenal second album \u2018For Whose Advantage?\u2019, an album regarded as a bonafide thrash classic.<\/p>\n<p> The band went onto enjoy a short but successful career that saw them share stages with Slayer, Testament, Sepultura, Annihilator, Sabbat, Tankard and Skyclad before calling it a day in 1996 having become disillusioned with the UK metal scene. <\/p>\n<p>On tour with Kreator and Evile<br \/>\nApril 26th \u2013 The Academy, Dublin<br \/>\nApril 27th  \u2013 The Ritz, Manchester<br \/>\nApril 28th \u2013 The Forum, London<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>British thrashers Xentrix return to action with a handful of live dates as special guests for Kreator and Evile in April as well as the promise of new material!
