Earache\/Sound Pollution<\/p>\n
Scots are aggressive people, that\u00b4s for sure. ceRebral bore may look harmless, but they have a reputation as crushers. With a name pilfered from a video game, everything is possible. With Simone \u201cSom\u201d Pluijmers at the mike backed by guitarist Paul McGuire, bassist Kyle Rutherford and drummer Alan \u201cMcDibet\u201d MacDonald they mean business with amazingly heavy death metal. <\/p>\n
Opener \u201cEpileptic Strobe\u201d Entrapment\u201d is not for the faint at heart. Drums and bass bellow, the guitar work is faithful to the death metal bands of earlier ages. The voice sounds as if \u201cSom\u201d only had metal down her throat\u2026 plus a dist pedal. Her machine-like growl is not to be forgotten and heavy ladies from before feel really soft and cozy. The voice is kind of interesting, and at the same time miraculously over-the-top. It borders on an annoying noise and I wonder how she cuts it live. In a small club they are probably capable of sending just about any one off in an ambulance. In \u201cOpen Casket Priapism\u201d the song gets distorted until it nearly dissolves. ceRebral bore seems centered around this female attraction. I guess it\u00b4s a \u201cLove Us or Hate Us-case\u201d. I would personally love to have more people express their views about this lot. Musically speaking there is no room for nuances, only the grinding explosions remains, and perhaps some thrash groves. Is this genius or madness, possibly the next big thing? I am not grinded down or overly exalted, more waiting for the public judgment actually. <\/p>\n
