From danceable British rock to the king of Southern US thrash metal. Roskilde Festival in Denmark hardens the line-up with Kasabian, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Bl’ast, The Men and Rumble In Rhodos.

Throughout their 15-year career Kasabian have become true masters of the uplifting chorus and the close audience contact. Their danceable and artistic ambitions have turned the four guys from Leicester into something very special on the British music scene.

They played at Roskilde Festival’s main stage, Orange Stage, in 2010, and in 2014 the band returns for another show.

Roskilde Festival’s program director Anders Wahren says:

The line-up of Rock Werchter now includes 65 names. Seven names were added today. New for Thursday, July 3 are Daptone Super Soul Revue featuring Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires, Antibalas, The Sugarman 3 with special guests Saun and Starr and Master of Ceremonies Binky Griptite as well as The Opposites and Arsenal. Sam Smith and Katy B confirmed attendance on Friday, July 4. The Temperance Movement will perform at Werchter on Saturday, July 5.Parquet Courts has been added to the Sunday programme. The line-up of Rock Werchter 2014 will be further expanded in the near future.

New names in the Sziget Festival line-up

The organizers of Sziget have announced a new list of names, already confirmed for the 2014 event. At the ‘Island of Freedom’ The Prodigy, Lily Allen, Ska-P and La Roux will also perform. Sziget Festival is held between 11-18 August.

Sziget is hosted on a beautiful green island in the middle of Budapest and is a perfect merge of a summer holiday and a festival experience. Besides many fun, art and activities, Sziget has already revealed some names from the 2014 line-up, as Queens of the Stone Age, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Skrillex, Placebo, Klaxons, Stromae, Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons, Bastille and now they have announced a new bunch of names.

Eels is coming to Rock Werchter! The master and front man E announced that news early this morning. The band always surprises when performing live shows, both in terms of line-up and set-up. Things won’t be any different this summer. On Friday, July 4 E will perform with a group that plays the melodica, pump organ, mandolin, musical saws and other quiet instruments. Eels’ new album The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett will be released on April 21.

The confirmed acts for Friday, July 4 (in alphabetical order) are:

The sixth and final headliner for Metaldays 2014 is certain: Children Of Bodom! From rock, pop, metal, indie, dance and urban to singer-songwriters. It’s all possible at Rock Werchter. Seven names have been added to the line-up. All of them are highly danceable. Gesaffelstein will play at the festival on Thursday, July 3. The Subs will play a day later, on Friday, July 4. On Saturday, July 5 the beats of SBTRKT,Trentemøller and Moderat will resound. Rudimental and Chase and Status are confirmed on Sunday, July 6.
