JAMES IHA TO RELEASE FIRST SOLO ALBUM IN NEARLY 15 YEARS –“LOOK TO THE SKY” OUT NOVEMBER 5TH ON THE END RECORDS

James Iha began his career as a co-founder of The Smashing Pumpkins in Chicago in 1987. He recorded and toured with the group until 2000, during which time they released ten albums and became one of the biggest bands of the era, selling millions of albums and filling arenas worldwide.

In addition to his guitar playing and singing, James was also a contributing songwriter to the band, co-writing some of their best loved songs, including “Mayonnaise” from Siamese Dream. In 2003, he joined the acclaimed progressive rock band, A Perfect Circle, featuring members of Tool and Marilyn Manson.

As previously announced EMI Label Services release ‘A Light Shines’, Sacred Mother Tongue’s brand new EP on September 3rd. This is their debut release on EMI Label Services and precedes their second album, ‘Out Of The Darkness’, which will be released early next year.

To celebrate the release of the EP the band have announced a one-off date at Islington Academy 2 on 10th September.

The EP tracklisting has changed slightly to include another brand new track ‘Bleeding Out’, which will also feature on the album ‘Out Of The Darkness’ when it is unveiled in early 2013...

Electro Punk act Angelspit is returning to the UK for a run of 5 headline shows as part of the ’Wall Street Massacre’ European tour which is kicking off in Germany at the end of this month.

Angelspit, known for vicious distortion, biting lyrics and harsh drums, have churned out eight releases over the past seven years and have shared the stage with acts such as KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Sisters of Mercy and Nitzer Ebb. Edsel Records is proud to announce its reissue programme of the legendary first five albums by the Steve Miller Band, originally released between 1968 and 1970, issued in Special Digipak Editions. The albums will be released on Monday 8th October 2012.

The albums include Children of the Future (1968), Sailor (1968), Brave New World (1969), Your Saving Grace (1969) and Number 5 (1970).

The CD booklets included in the Special Digipak Edition releases feature original artwork, song lyrics, exclusive liner notes written by the San Francisco Chronicle’s Joel Selvin based on new 2012 interviews with Steve Miller, plus rare photos from Miller’s personal archive. All five digitally re-mastered CDs are housed in six panel digipaks.
