Idag lanserar vi en kampanj som handlar om Bråvalla. Det handlar inte om artister eller några nyheter för årets festival. Vi vill presentera Bråvalla på ett annat sätt, där vi beskriver hur vi jobbar, hur vi ser på saker och ting och vad vi tycker att en festival ska vara. Vi kallar det för Vi Är Festivalen. Vi gör detta för att det finns så mycket mer med festivalen att prata om än vad som ryms i en facebookpost eller på 140 tecken. På www.viärfestivalen.se får du träffa några av oss som jobbar med festivalen. Pantea som ser till att allt finns på plats när du kommer till festivalen, Johanna som har hand om alla artister och Julia som ser till att det finns en massa god mat att äta på festivalen.

Born to lose, live to win – A Farewell to Lemmy
This year’s Night to Remember is going to end with an homage to the passed away Lemmy Kilmister. Motörhead wanted to rock Wacken again, but it sadly came differently.

Dio Disciples feat. a very special guest
At the end of the festival, we will remember another legend. The Dio Disciples, friends and co-musicians of Ronnie James Dio, will share the stage with very special guest.

At the same time we also have to announce the cancellation of Lamb of God. The band is going to record a new album and called off the scheduled shows.

First of all thank you for your support and amazing interest in the early bird tickets! Out now for sale is the final edition of the tickets priced at 80€. This edition is available ’till August 8th and we strongly recomend you not to wait for the box office tickets, that will be available only if the fest is not sold out. The box office price will be 88€.

Next, we have acquired new hotel rooms, that are now available for purchase via our hotel order form here. These hotel Ales rooms are located in the same building where hotel Alessandria is and they even share the same reception. Available is only a limited quantity of double and triple rooms and couple of 4 beds suites.

36 dagar är allt som står mellan oss och sommarens bästa fest. Nu kan vi presentera ytterligare åtta akter från hela musikspektrat! Vi välkomnar Graveyard, Laakso, Movits!, Børns, Mwuana, Tired Lion, Public Service Broadcasting och Smith and Thell.

GRAVEYARD
Trummisen Axel Sjöberg har en axeltatuering som försäkrar att han spelar ”true Göteborg gubbrock” och det är något som alla medlemmar i det internationellt hyllade Graveyard gärna står bakom. Utifrån publikens perspektiv är rock/bluesbandet ett band man efter fyra album nämner i samma andetag som legendarerna i Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy och Led Zeppelin. Precis som om att det är de som bibehåller nostalgisk rock i modern tid, och kanske för att deras förmåga att göra det är så förbannat bra...

Tillsammans med JoiaAgency och Pepsi Max presenterar Bråvalla dagsfesterna på Sensation. Festivalbesökarna har vid det här laget vant sig vid att festen drar igång strax efter lunch, och årets festival kommer inte göra någon danssugen besviken! Vi välkomnar Bråvallafavoriter som Albin Myers och John Dahlbäck tillbaka, och ser framemot att få svettas till akter som Ibizas B Jones och svenska duon TJUVA.

ALBIN MYERS
Den konstant aktiva producenten Albin Myers är en showstopper bakom DJ-båset. Det vet vi av erfarenhet då han redan har gett oss tre rejäla omgångar på Bråvalla, där det ena årets show toppat den andra. 2008 slutade den vassa producenten på sitt sommarjobb och lade all sin tid på att skapa ”Evil Electro House”, som han själv kallar det...

In almost all countries around the world which are participating into the Metal Battle 2016 the first preliminaries and also some finals rounds have taken place. Today we want to introduce you to the first five winner bands!
Those bands won the finales in Iceland, Central America, Luxembourg, the Caribbean and the Faroe Islands.

Let’s begin with Iceland: Auðn from the small town of Hveragerði won the local finale with their dark melancholic black metal and will now proceed to the finale in Wacken!

This years winners of the Central America finale comes from Honduras. The local finale at the so called ”Megametal Festival“ was won by Crows Crown. And Crows Crown means death metal at it’s finest!

With death metal or more precisely melodic death metal we can proceed in Luxembour...

The reworked Festival Alphabet for W:O:A 2016 is online. Where do I get, what I’m looking for? How many stages are there? Where do I have to go, if I encounter a problem at the festival? Here are the answers!

If you take a close look, you will notice one or more innovations like the new shower camp S6 and other things – based on your feedback, we optimized the area, the setup and the flow of the festival once more.

We will explain the innovations in detail in a separate info post before the festival starts.

Vi fyller på med hiphop och annat gott i form av Timbuktu, hiphoplegenderna House of Pain, Den Svenska Björnstammen, Elliphant och Erik Lundin. Dessutom hålsar vi de brittiska stjärnskotten Bugzy Malone och Yungen välkomna till festivalen!

TIMBUKTU
Timbuktu har hyllats sedan dag ett. Alla vet att det löser sig, om man säger att ”det löser sig” på skånska. Och samtidigt har alla någon gång kunnat identifiera sig i ”The Botten Is Nådd”. Timbuktu är artisten som gjort hiphop folkligt, och till och med vår far- och morföräldrar vet vem han är. Vi har också sett honom i ”Så Mycket Bättre” och som en av programledarna för välgörenhetsinitiativet Musikhjälpen...
