Kärtsy Hatakka and his crew achieved the unthinkable—fusing crushing death metal with the grandeur of a symphonic orchestra and operatic vocals, long before such crossovers were even imagined by others. More bands have just landed on the roster. The fortress will echo with the sounds of American death/doom legends Dusk, metalcore veterans Unearth, and Norwegian provocateurs Carpathian Forest.

Health will demonstrate that a heavy sound can be conjured even without distorted guitars and blast-beats, while Antimatter will present their dark songwriting, and Coven will bring the roots of occult rock. Rounding out the update are the Czech purveyors of putrid death metal, Mordloch.
