Released March 26th 2012 on Serious Types

www.decibels.tv

A blissful mix of lo-fi, ambient, electro and Indie, Decibels ’ debut single The Lesser sees it’s UK release on March 26th, through Serious Types in the midst of a swell of blog coverage, BBC Radio support and, perhaps most excitingly, an appearance of their track Rubber Dinghy Rapids on a forthcoming Warp Records ‘Bleep’ compilation (http://soundcloud.com/decibelselectro/rubber-dinghy-rapids). Two wings – Love’s spring

Two Wings are a band from Glasgow Born of a song-writing collaboration between singer/multi-instrumentalist/visual artist Hanna Tuulikki (Nalle, Scatter, The Family Elan) and guitarist/singer Ben Reynolds (Baby Dee, Trembling Bells, Alasdair Roberts, Tompkins Square Records), Two Wings line-up is completed by vocalist Lucy Duncombe, bassist Kenny Wilson and drummer Owen Curtis Williams. With the addition of a brass section the band have now recorded their debut album – Love’s Spring.

The female vocals are quite unusual, and even aft...

Festivalphoto: Is there a title for the album yet?

Will: There is but for some reason we haven’t told anyone yet. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say it, I don’t know why not. It’s still being decided but we’ll announce that pretty soon.

An interview with The Treatment

Festivalphoto spoke to Matt Jones (Vocals) and Dhani Mansworth (Drums) from The Treatment shortly before they went on stage at The Garage in London to play on a bill with fellow Spinefarm bands Jettblack, and Reckless Love as part of the HMV Next Big Thing event.

Festivalphoto: Your debut album (This might hurt) came out at the beginning of 2011 on Powerage records then was re-released a few months later on Spinefarm. What prompted the move to Spinefarm?

Dhani: The thing with Powerage, the whole idea behind the label was a kind of stepping stone, so we signed to them to get an album out and distributed, and stayed with them until another label was interested in us, which was Spinefarm who saw us on the Powerage tour we did, so we signed to Spinefarm and re-released the album with them.
