Bloody hell ! Here we are, finally able to make our first announcement of groups who will play at Hellfest 2016. We have tested your patience these last few days and we hope you will forgive us. As you know, instead of leaking tidbits of information, drip by drip, we’d rather go for the big splash! We are happy to announce this first list of groups, and we are equally curious to have your feedback on this 2016 vintage
We wish to thank all the festival goers who have shown us their support by buying their tickets well in advance, and we hope that this announcement will justify their confidence! At this point in time, we are also re-opening sales of the remaining 3-day passes...

Red Hot Chili Peppers kommer tillbaka till Roskildefestivalen i samband med att de ger ut ett nytt album 2016. Konserten blir bandets första i Danmark på fem år.

De har sålt över 80 miljoner album globalt och är invalda i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

2016 kommer de sexfaldiga Grammy-vinnarna tillbaka med ett efterlängtat nytt album. I samband med det bjuder Roskildefestivalen för första gången på nio år in Red Hot Chili Peppers att befästa sin status som legender, på Orange scen.

Amerikanska Red Hot Chili Peppers är berömda för sin banbrytande genreblandning av funk, hårdrock och hip hop, och för inflytelserika hits som ”Give It Away”, ”Scar Tissue”, ”Under the Bridge” och ”Californication”.

Up the Irons! IRON MAIDEN will bring their highly anticipated The Book of Souls World Tour to Wacken on August 4. The band’s recently released double studio album The Book Of Souls debuted at #1 in the German charts and in over 40 other countries round the globe.

“It’s been some time since our last show and we cannot wait to get back out on tour. Maiden thrive on touring and playing to our fans, it’s what we enjoy the most. We look forward to returning to Wacken!

We haven’t decided on the set list as yet and won’t until we start rehearsing but we really look forward to playing a number of new songs live, especially as the recording of The Book of Souls was so much live...

Saint Vitus arrive at Hellfest to close their 2015 European Tour The Return of the Walking Dead. The L.A. band, pioneers of Doom Metal since 1978, stand still and continue to strike us all with their slow, thundering riffs and melting lyrics. Latest news was that singer Wino Weinrich was arrested in Europe on November 2014 for drug possession, so the band announced on April this year that Scott Reagers, former singer of the band, would join them for the upcoming European summer dates. We all wandered about that sudden change so joined guitarist Dave Chandler at Hellfest backstage before the gig. Chandler, heart and brain of the band, was incredibly talkative and nice to us, and explained the current state of the band.

Almost 100,000 people bought a ticket to this year’s Roskilde Festival’s week-long celebration of music, arts and creative kinship. All profits from the festival are donated in full to charitable and cultural purposes, and the festival management expects to donate 2.5 million euro to charity following this year’s festival.

The last concert ended early Sunday morning after acts like Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj, Africa Express and Jamie XX were among the acts on the last day at Roskilde Festival

Thousands of festival guests are currently leaving the festival site in Roskilde after eight days of music and community. Thus, the 45th Roskilde Festival comes to an end, and the gates to the camping areas close at 14.00 today.
