Hellfest – More band announced (and a few cancellations)

Hellbangers, as you can imagine, organizing this edition in these troubled times feels is quite a challenge. Several bands have recently informed us of their unavailability for the 2022 edition. Indeed, the organization of some international tours is affected by the Covid situation.

Thus, we announce the cancellation of the following artists: The Wildhearts, Powerflo, Obituary, 3Teeth, Belzebubs, Numenorean, Of Mice & Men, Justin(e), Legion of the Damned, Hatebreed and Crowbar. We learned a few days ago that a new ‘headliner’ could not be present for this 2022 edition: Avenged Sevenfold.

In spite of this setback, we did our best to find alternatives to guarantee a colorful line-up for this anniversary edition and we are now able to announce the addition of 32 new bands to the ...

Sweden Rock Festival lineup 2022

Idag kan vi med glädje berätta att SAXON, NATIONALTEATERNS ROCKORKESTER, ERIC GALES, DIRTY HONEY, BOMBER och ROCKKLASSIKER ALLSTARS är klara för Sweden Rock Festival 2022!

Och med det blir årets line-up komplett.

Saxon (fre 10 juni)

Saxon hör till SRF-publikens stående favoriter. Och undra på det: de brittiska heavy metal-legendarerna har som få andra bibehållit sin höga nivå under en 45 år lång karriär, på både scen och skiva. Det aktuella, 24:e studioalbumet ”Carpe diem” är inget undantag. Inbitna nostalgiker som ändå fortfarande hävdar att inget i Saxon-katalogen slår klassiker som ”Wheels of steel” och ”Denim and leather” kan naturligtvis räkna med att Biff Byford & Co lirar även dessa som vanligt i sommar.

SRF-Kollo tillbaka igen

Tillsammans med Studiefrämjandet vill Sweden Rock Festival skapa bättre förutsättningar för unga tjejer som älskar och vill spela hårdrock. Nu öppnar ansökan för dig mellan 14-17 år som vill spendera fyra dagar på Sweden Rock-kollo i sommar.

Sweden Rock-kollot är helt kostnadsfritt för deltagarna och arrangeras 5 – 9 juni.

– Vi vet sedan de två tidigare säsongerna att rock-kollot är extremt uppskattat, säger Emma Heimersson, utvecklingsledare inom musik på Studiefrämjandet riksförbundet. Att få omfamna rockmusiken både praktiskt och teoretiskt under fyra dagar är en dröm för många unga tjejer och vi vänder oss till alla, vare sig en är cis eller trans.
