Mutiny On The Bounty, having recently signed to leading UK record label, Best Before, and releasing their second album “Trials” to much acclaim, are about to kick off their UK tour.

“Trials” was recorded in Seattle with top producer Matt Bayles, famous for his work with Pearl Jam, Mastodon and Fall Of Troy. Their math rock sound incorporates electronic elements and greater melody without sacrificing the complex musicianship that won them their original fanbase.

The band have previously toured with the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, Coheed and Cambria, Portugal the Man and And So I Watch You From Afar...

Klockan fem i elva kommer Josef Söreke, eller José Soracha, fram till mig och mina vänner och frågar om det är någon av oss som kan med att ställa in ljudet. Spelningen skulle börja klockan elva. Jag börjar gå runt och leta efter någon som kan med mixerbordet och hittar tillslut en kille som kommer med tillbaka. Men då är spelningen redan igång. José Soracha står och spelar helt akustiskt utan förstärkning och utan elektronik. Killen jag hämtat säger till mig, ”Du, det här är väl mycket mysigare än att koppla in han eller?”. Och ja, det var det verkligen. Det var helt rätt.

José Soracha blandar covers med eget material i blandade tempon. Men det håller hela tiden hög klass...

Mitt ute på landsbygden, några mil utanför Växjö, ligger Säljeryd. Den plats där Sveriges, enligt mig, mysigaste festival anordnas varje år. Det är rödmålade ladugårdar, traktorer och åkrar.Det är öppna eldar och utedass. Det är Säljerydfestivalen Love&Peace.

Med 180 akter av olika slag fylls den nio dagar långa festivalen upp med glädje och kärlek. Det är death metal och det är vissång, poesi och muskelrock, irländsk folkmusik och reggae samt allt däremellan. Säljerydsfestivalens breda utbud har någonting för alla.

Besökarna som kommer till Säljeryd är extremt varierande. Mycket beroende på att de har olika temadagar. I år hade de bland annat progg-, reggae-, hårdrocksdagar med flera...

Leave’s Eyes singer Liv Kristine is back with her latest solo album. Libertine is her fourth solo album. Liv has an impressive track record, first as the singer with Trail of Tears and then with Leaves Eyes. While she’s known as a rock/metal singer, her solo albums are more pop/rock. In other words if you’re hoping this is another Leave’s Eyes album under a different name, then think again – it’s quite different but is definitely going to be of interest to a lot of Leaves Eyes fans.

Brief comments on a few of the tracks..

”Solve me” is a fast paced pop-rock song.

”Vanilla skin delight” is a duet with Tobias Regner – a former winner of the German series of Pop Idol. It’s a great track and is an obvious choice to be released as a single at some point.

”Paris Paris” has a definite Blondie ...

Northampton band, Sacred Mother Tongue may have only released their debut album in 2009, but since then they’ve played both Download and Sonisphere festivals along with a whole load of tour dates, and have built up a great reputation. With their second album expected for release in late 2012 or early 2013, they’ve released a new EP to keep the fans happy. Although signed to Transcend media, the album is being released in conjunction with EMI which should give the band some extra exposure

What you get here is three new studio recorded tracks plus one live track.

”The city is crying” was recorded on the band’s recent tour of China which included performing at the Hang Zhou West Lake Music Festival

SHINING LAUNCHES BRAND NEW VIDEO FOR ‘TILLSAMMANS ÄR VI ALLT’…

Sweden’s Shining release their highly anticipated second video for ‘Tillsammans Är Vi Allt’ from their seventh full length album ‘VII / Född Förlorare’.

The video focuses around themes of addiction and obsession; a collaborative effort from Shining’s frontman Niklas Kvarforth and director Martin Strandberg.

Swedish model December Wiklund features through-out, as well as guest vocalist, the famed Swedish singer Håkan ”Nordman” Hemlin, who delivers a captivating performance with his anguish-fuelled rough vocals.

Black Country Communion the Anglo-American rock group comprising vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, release their third album, ‘Afterglow’, via Mascot Records on Monday October 29th.

Like its two predecessors, ‘Afterglow’ was produced by Kevin Shirley, whose catalogue of hit records for Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and the Black Crowes has made him the hottest producer that rock music has to offer. Shirley – who had the idea of putting Hughes and Bonamassa together in a band after seeing them jam onstage back in 2009 – is the group’s unofficial ‘fifth member’.
