The Ready Stance are lead vocalist and guitarist Chase Johnston, an Ohio native and alumni of the Athens, Georgia, music scene; guitarist Wes Pence, the creative force of 1990s outfit Middlemarch; drummer Eric Moreton, and old band mate of Pence’s and the wonderfully named bassist Randy Cheek. Arc Of A Diver, originally released in December 1980, is the second solo album recorded by Steve Winwood (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith). The album was performed entirely by Steve Winwood himself.

The bonus disc features three extra tracks; “Arc Of A Diver” (4:14 – the edited US single version), “Spanish Dancer” (6:08 – radio edit 2010 version) and “Night Train” (6:30 – instrumental version from the UK 12” single which has never been released on CD before. This version has extra guitar and keyboards and is much longer).

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Level 42’s double-platinum hit album ‘Running In The Family’, Universal Music are proud to announce the reissues of the album in Box Set, Deluxe Edition and standard formats on October 8th 2012. Klockan fem i elva kommer Josef Söreke, eller José Soracha, fram till mig och mina vänner och frågar om det är någon av oss som kan med att ställa in ljudet. Spelningen skulle börja klockan elva. Jag börjar gå runt och leta efter någon som kan med mixerbordet och hittar tillslut en kille som kommer med tillbaka. Men då är spelningen redan igång. José Soracha står och spelar helt akustiskt utan förstärkning och utan elektronik. Killen jag hämtat säger till mig, ”Du, det här är väl mycket mysigare än att koppla in han eller?”. Och ja, det var det verkligen. Det var helt rätt.

José Soracha blandar covers med eget material i blandade tempon. Men det håller hela tiden hög klass...
